I wouldn't take nothin' for my Journey Now! (Part 2)

Have you ever felt like giving up? Let's be honest now and I am not asking you to email me or call someone right now, but be honest with YOURSELF! Have you ever felt so frustrated with life or even your walk with God that you felt like giving up?

Life's problems were starting to burden you down to the point that you felt so overwhelmed that you were not sure what to do?

Maybe you started to look at those who do not serve God and envy them and their lifestyle? You see them going about their lives without church and envy them their freedom? Perhaps you wonder what your life would be like if you didn't live for God? Would life be better?

Maybe the thought has occurred to you to run, just pack you bags, fill the tank with gas, flip a coin and drive. No destination, no idea what you will do when you get there, but just go. Run away from it all.

Maybe you feel that things would be better if you just stopped living for God? Or without your family?

If you have ever felt that way, I want to tell you today that you are human. Today I want to encourage you to not give up and to not give in, but to keep on going.

There is an old old song that I have heard sung for years and as a extra special treat, I am NOT GOING TO SING IT. I will just read it to you.

"I Wouldn't Take Nothin' for my Journey Now"

Well, I wouldn't take nothin' for my journey now,
Gotta make it to heaven somehow,
Though the Devil tempt me & try to turn me around,
He's offered everything that's got a name,
All the wealth I want & all the worldly fame,
If I could, still I wouldn't take nothing for my journey now

I started out travelin' down the road many years ago,
I've had a lot of heartache, met a lot of grief and woe.
But when I stumble, then I humble down,
If I could, still I wouldn't take nothing for my journey now.

Ain't nothing in the world that'll ever take the place of God's love.
All the silver & gold could never buy a touch from above.
When my soul needs healin' & I begin feelin' that power,
I can say right now, I wouldn't take nothing for my journey Now.
