There are times that life is so stormy; that we cannot believe there is hope or an end to our troubles. It seems like everything we do turns to mud and we can't do anything Right. The future is so dark, that a 15-watt light bulb looks like a searchlight. We begin to feel that we can't win for losing.
I know a man who was over weight as a child, he often says that he couldn't win for losing. The other kids teased him all the time
''Fatty Fatty two by four, can't get through the kitchen door"
"Fatso, fatso, fatso!"
"Hey fatty, you are a queer, because fat boys can't get girls"
He'd go to the teacher to complain and was told to
"Grow up" "Don't complain" "Don't be a baby" "Sticks and stones can break your bones, but names will never hurt you" "You are fat, what do you expect?" (He was 8 or 9 years old)
The other kids parents, teachers, and other adults ignores his plea for help, so they teased him to much and he decided to take matters into his own hands and he punched them out.
The teacher called him a big bully and told him to stop picking on smaller kids.
Hmmm, lets see... it's ok for the other kids to call him names, to tease him into tears and the teacher sits back and laughs; but when he stands up for himself, he is a BULLY?
