Peace in the midst of YOUR storm (part nine)

As I said yesterday, Yes Jesus knows sorrow and discomfort. He knows loneliness! He knows heartache, he knows problems! He understands your problems.

Jesus said that "I will never leave you nor forsake thee" and "I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you."

When my dad died, and then my grandfather died 80 days later Jesus was with me. I was hit hard, hurt, in sorrow, I cried more tears than I thought ever existed, but yet HE WAS THERE TO COMFORT ME! He gave me more strength than I thought I had.

It was funny, buy my mom and I were able comfort other family members and I even was able to preach at my own fathers funeral, to my whole family!

Was I in a storm?

You bet!

In fact I used this same text that day, we were in the midst of a big storm and Jesus came on the scene to speak "PEACE BE STILL"

When you are in the midst of a storm, don't give up on GOD!

Jehosaphat was in a storm, you see a large army was marching against his country. Instead of crying, whining and feeling sorry for himself, he called a fast and sought the lord!

Then...

God answered!

But what an answer!

Send your choir to fight the battle and that battle was won through praise and worship! God spoke peace to their storm and that battle was won through faith and praise.

He prayed, fasted and worshipped when others would have given up. He changed his own attitude, through FAITH!

You too can have peace in the midst of your storms!
