Helping people find God

1 Cor 12: 8 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

God is not the author of confusion, and in order for a church to function properly, it must be organized.

By organized, I do not mean denominal organization, I mean that every thing within the church must be done orderly. He wants a church to be organized and ready to win the lost.

1 Corinthians 14: 40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

I was in Circuit City a recently to make a purchase. I do not go to Circuit City too often but was able to locate what I wanted fairly quickly. Quickly scanning the store I was able to see that:
  • Everything was in its place
  • Everything was labeled
  • There were employees trained for their specific area.
I was able to go to the area I wanted to be and someone was there to inform me on the product purchased.

Circuit City has their store organized so that when we leave their business, part of us stays there (our Money). Their entire goal and purpose is to separate us from our money. To that end they train their staff members and gear everything you see and hear to that goal

In a church, the ultimate goal is to win the lost to Christ.

Everything we do in a church service needs to be geared to soul winning. You see, soul winning is more than knocking on a door or bringing someone to church.

Advertising will get someone into Circuit City, but its what the Staff Members of Circuit City does that will complete the sale.

We can invite people to church, send them flyers and hand them tracks, but when they walk in the door, its what we the church does that will for the lack of a better term "Close the Sale''. We must gear everything in the service towards winning the lost.
