Let me focus on Altar working.

Altar working is a crucial part of soul winning; in fact, it might be the most crucial. If done right, it will affect someone in a positive way, if done incorrectly, it will affect someone in a negative way. In fact, many people have walked away from church services because it was done wrong.

At the scene of a Car accident the trained paramedic can administer first aid, stabilize the patient and provide the necessary emergency medical assistance to sustain life. But that patient must be brought to the Emergency Room so that the Doctors and Nurses can provide advanced medical assistance to save that life.

Both the Paramedic and the Emergency room staff working together, each doing their part, each working within the parameters of their training and skill levels can save a life.

The Maintenance men, housekeeping staff, security staff, central supply, purchasing, receiving, and switchboard operators all provide the proper atmosphere whereby the Medical staff can do their job of saving lives.

In the church, Soul Winning is just as important.

The person is invited to church and perhaps they are taught a home bible study. At church they need to be greeted by friendly cheerful people, the service should flow with few dead spots with the preaching of the word and a time of prayer.

If all this is working together, all who participate help win a soul to the Lord.

If everyone does what they are good at, if they work within the parameters of their skills and abilities, we can and will see souls saved.

  • Some people are good inviters
  • Others are great witnesses
  • Ssome fantastic home bible study teachers
  • Oothers are prayer warriors
  • Some have a knack for working the altar,
  • and some are wonderful at working with new converts.

Greeters, Ushers, Song Leaders, Service Leaders, Singers, the Ministry all working together in the church service to create the atmosphere whereby a soul can be saved.

Unlike the hospital, sometimes we have to do double or triple duty in the church, but again, everyone working together, within the parameters of their skills and abilities, with the goal of seeing lost souls saved, we can and will see revival.
