Do you have a good attitude?

Your attitude can be defined as the way you act and feel towards a person or a thing. You can either have a good attitude (feeling, mannerism) or a bad attitude (feeling/Mannerism). Your attitude can sometimes be noticed by others or well hidden by a front or facade. Church leaders and members should have a proper attitude towards God, other church leaders, other members of your church, the members of other churches, and people in general.

Throughout history, God has always called leaders from a diverse background.
  • Abraham was a Nomad
  • Jacob was a Con Man
  • Joseph was a ruler in a polytheistic country
  • Ehud was an assassin
  • Gideon was a farmer
  • David a shepherd and musician
  • Solomon was born to his kingdom and wealth
  • Isaiah was an educated man
  • Daniel was a prince
  • Nehemiah was a butler
  • Jonah was a coward
  • Elijah and John the Baptist were wild men
  • Elisha was a servant

In the New Testament; Jesus walked with...

  • Rough uneducated fishermen (Peter/Andrew)
  • Elite snooty men that had a superior view of others (Judas)
  • Rebellious super patriots (Simon Zealots)
  • Corrupt tax collectors (Matthew)
  • Punks (James and John the Sons of Thunder)
  • Murdering Lawyers (Saul of Tarsus, a well-educated man, freeborn citizen of Rome, Lawyer and Member of the Sanhedrin court)
  • Doctors (Luke)
  • Immature young men (Mark)
  • Dynamic Speakers ( Appolos)
  • Eager Learner (Timothy)
  • Guys who had foot in mouth problems (Peter)

It is not what you used to be. It is what you are now. How you act, live, walk and talk NOW. It is conveyed through your body language and how other perceives you. Early church leaders were men of good report. Modern church leaders and members are not only saints, but we all have a ministry to do, a job for Christ. We need to represent him to the best of our abilities and with our best.
