Yesterday was the Birthday of Paul Brochu and tomorrow is the birthday of his wife Darla. Lets all wish them a happy birthday.
Paul and Darla Brochu were appointed as career missionaries to France in October 1993, and have just finished their second term of service there. They have returned to the United States to raise support for their work in the country of France.
The Brochus founded the First Apostolic Church in Farmington, Maine, and pastored there for five years before leaving for Europe in 1990 as Associates In Missions.
Arriving initially in Luxembourg, they served as furlough replacements for the Arlie Enis family of Military Ministries/Middle East. This responsibility was followed by a two-year pastorate of the American military congregation in Numremburg, Germany. It was during this time that the Brochus felt the Lord directing them to work among the French.
They began their first term in France with language study in the city of Albertville. They went on to cover the furlough of the John Nowacki family of the headquarters church in Melun; Brother Brochu served as the Administrator of the newly founded French Bible Institute and taught there as well. He was also made a member of the General Board of the United Pentecostal Church of France.
The Brochu's arrived back in France in May, 2000 to begin their second term. They settled in Chatellerault, a city in the Loire Valley of Western France, and established a work there. They are accompanied by their daughter Danae. The Brochu's son, Justin attended Seminary at Texas Bible College in Houston, Texas and has served in the United States Military.
