5. And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,
6. And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
7. And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
Ok I like this, do any of those names seem familiar to you? Check out the death of Jesus... Annas and Caiaphas were involved up to their dirty collars. No doubt they knew who these guys were ....

He phrases his response with a question, then prepares to give his answer, one these men are NOT going to like...
10. Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
Be it known to YOU..... addressing them directly; Annas and Caiaphas two of the men who conspired to kill Jesus. I want YOU too to know along with all of Isreal.
That by the name of Jesus: Remember him? YOU KILLED HIM! God raised him from the dead and guess what? HE healed this man.
I can imagine him pointing at the lame man, oh the healed man with a smile on his face.

You tried to stop him, but we are serving notice that his name is the name above all names, his name JESUS is then name what we most be saved in. No other name, no other power, but the name of Jesus. the name of the man you KILLED, but lives again. Go ahead, try to find a name higher than the name of
Jesus...
That name is above all names.
