In our current society; no one is at fault for anything. We are a nation of victims!
There is a sad trend in our country that sees everyone as victims who are not responsible for their actions. As a result, we tend not to see where we were wrong, but instead look around for someone else to blame for our behavior.
Charles Colson writes that we have changed from acknowledging that we are a sinner to whining that we are a victim.
No one wants to be wrong! Rather than owning up to sin and faults,, we call it something else or shuffle the blame to someone else, we are not wrong. If we change the name of sin, its no longer sin.
Alcoholism: Once upon a time they were called DRUNKS, NOW it is a disease. Please do not misunderstand; it's still a sad thing, but it's not as bad renamed.
Drugs: Once upon a time you were a doper, a junkie, a pot head, or a dope freak. Now you are chemically dependant.
Adultery used to be wrong: now its just an ''affair'' an ''extra Marital affair" a ''fling'' or ''cheating'' '' playing around.
Homosexuality: It is now called an alternative lifestyle.
Rename it, call it by a different name and it doesn't sound as bad.
