Doing the right thing (Part 5)

We can all think of things that even 10 - 15 years ago were considered wrong and sin that are no longer considered wrong. You see if you change the name, the sin is gone. Avoid the guilt, side step it, push it aside and it is gone.

It is like having a headache: if you take Tylenol, it gives FAST temporary relie, but does not fix the root cause of the headache.

We had a dog that killed a raccoon once upon a time. I dug a hole and buried it. The next day he brought it back. This was repeated for a number of days and finally I had to dig a very deep hole, pile rocks on it and then cover it up. It stayed buried this time.

You can take that dead raccoon, hide it, toss it in the garbage or put it behind a bush and it still STINKS.

We can rename sin all day long and it is still SIN! We can push it aside! It is still sin! We can ignore it, talk it away, justify it and explain it away... sin is isn.

Hence we must all learn to do the right thing.......
