Is salvation for ME?

I was raised ''In the church".

No, I didn't live there, but I did sleep there! I can remember many a night where the last thing I remember was that old guy up there talkking to us and then the next day I woke up in my bed.

I did my homework in church, slept in the choir loft and got kicked out of Sunday School a time or two.

My mom was a Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir, led the Christmas program and was there whenever the doors were open.

My great Grandmother was a preacher, my grandmother played the piano for church and my aunt was a song leader. We were church folks from the get go.

I could quote bible scriptures and tell you all of the major bible stories by the time I was 12 years old.

I knew that Saul knew David before that day he killed Goliath and that not only did he toss a wicked sling, but he could give Harpo Marx a run for his money on the harp.

Bible quizzing, sword drills and christmas plays were my life.

Sunday Morning, Sunday Night, Wednesday night and then Tuesday through Sunday during Revivals: sometimes up to 13 and 14 weeks long.

Guess what.....

that did not save me.
