Bob Boastful

He was the greatest Preacher this side of the Apostle Paul! If you don't believe him, just ask him.
There was nothing meek about him at all. At times he'd qualify as Andy Arrogant, but most of the time he was boastful, he patted himself on the back so much that his arms grew an extra few inches.

I remember when he told me about preaching at a certain church. He claims that the Pastor told him that had he preached the greatest sermon he ever heard. He repeated that story time and again. He went on ''Man had God ever blessed him with a terrific ministry'' and '' he was really being used of God''. He told this to any one who would listen (and a few that wouldn't.)

He once boasted that he was going to be a famous rock musician, then he'd go through a "conversion" and everyone would be so excited that he'd be offered places to preach all over the country. Conference, conventions, crusades, they'd all be at his feet demanding his presence. He further proclaimed that he'd get ordained right away, because they'd want a person of his stature preaching the gospel.

Here is the funny (sad) part!

Are you ready for this!

He only preached one sermon in his entire life!

He was expelled from seminary!

When I last saw him, he was telling his wife that she was second class and not first class like him. They are divorced today.

Proverbs 25: 14. Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain.

Romans 1: 28. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29. Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30. Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31. Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32. Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
